Les jeunes danseurs de la Ville des Chênes

"Les jeunes danseurs de la Ville des Chênes" train at the DJK Eichstätt in the "Kidzzz" course. Many of the girls, aged 7 to 10, have been attending dance classes taught by Michaela Sigl-Weidenhiller since early childhood. From jazz to modern dance and hip-hop, they work on various dance styles, additionally exploring acrobatics, bodywork, and stretching. This school year, the emphasis has been on Baroque dance, with all children performing in elegant historical costumes and makeup.

In 2007 Michaela Sigl-Weidenhiller and Florian Schmidt performed a series of minuets in the Spiegelsaal during a historical city tour portrayed by children at the Residenz. In the following years, these dances were presented at further events with different groups (Kulturtage 2011 – Der Tanz der Welt, conferences for Haus & Grund and for the Lions Club). With over 30 years of teaching and performing experience with children, teenagers, and adults in and around Eichstätt, Sigl-Weidenhiller uses dance to enrich events such as children's opera, old town festivals, and Christmas markets.
