TASTO SOLO rediscovers virtuosic and highly refined music from the late Medieval and early Renaissance times. Founded and directed by the organetto player Guillermo Pérez, the ensemble approaches Early Music with exquisite performances by combining historical research, artistic creativity and capacity to transmit emotions. Each concert is a unique event. The group pays full attention to every detail, including staging, dramatic rhythm, improvisation and dialogue between the artists. Today’s audiences, inexperienced or connoisseur, are seduced from the first moment, overwhelmed by the sensuality and of unusual sonorities that make Tasto Solo’s unique identity.

Since its international debut in 2006, the musicians of Tasto Solo’s have travelled performing all around Europe, from the Portuguese Palácio Nacional in Sintra to Saint Petersburg’s Early Music Foundation, in Vilnius Bernardine church, at Ljubljana’s castle, near the Norwegian fiords in Bergen and at the food of the magnificent Austrian Alps. The ensemble is regularly invited to play in most prestigious concert halls and top Early Music festivals including L’Auditori de Barcelona, Konzerthaus Berlin, Wiener Konzerhaus, Utrecht Oude Muziek Festival, the Fondation Royaumont, Antwerpen Laus Polyphoniae, Festival de Saintes, Concertgebouw Brugge, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, Festival de Ribeauvillé, Cantar di Pietre, Wratislavia Cantans, Festival de Música Antigua de Sevilla, Printemps des Arts de Nantes, Voix et Route Romane, Montalbâne Festival, among many others.

Tasto Solo’s acclaimed discography includes two volumes from a triptych-project devoted to 15th century keyboard music, »Meyster ob allen Meystern« and »Le chant de leschiquier« and a new astonishing CD on early 16th century instrumental works, »Early Modern English Music: 1500 – 1550« (all released on Passacaille label). These recordings received a large amount of international press awards including the Diapason d’Or, ICMA Nomination, Amadeus‘ »CD of the Month«, Ritmo & Audio Classica’s »Excellent«, Pizzicato’s »Supersonic«, Scherzo’s »Exceptional«, France Musique’s »Coup de Coeur«.
