Christian Schuler

After studying theology, German language and literature, and rhetoric in Eichstätt and Tübingen, Christian Schuler worked for various publishing houses and newspapers before moving to radio. He has worked as an author, reviewer, and presenter, initially for the broadcasting institutions Saarländischer Rundfunk, Westdeutscher Rundfunk, and Südwestrundfunk, later joining the Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) in Munich in the late 1990s. Since 2001 he has regularly hosted and presented on Bayern 2 and BR's classical music programs, in particular the afternoon show Leporello and Tafel-Confect from Studio Franken. His main interests are in early music, as well as vocal and choral music.

A permanent fixture at Musikfest Eichstätt since 2017, Schuler hosts Tafel-Confect as a live broadcast from the Spiegelsaal in the Residenz each year. With his likeable, humorous manner, Schuler has long since won over the hearts of Eichstätt's audiences.
