Lina Tur Bonet

Since she was young, Spanish violinist Lina Tur Bonet has worked with numerous well-known interpreters of music from the Baroque to the contemporary. This diversity of musical influences allows her to represent European musical heritage in an inimitable way, for which she has been awarded many prizes in national and international competitions, such as the Premio Bonporti. Her extraordinarily extensive repertoire spans 400 years of musical history, and is always performed on instruments appropriate to the era.

Tur Bonet graduated with accolades from the conservatories of Freiburg and Vienna, where she studied with Ana Chumachenco, Günter Pichler, and Hiro Kurosaki. She has received several international scholarships and prizes. Her CDs, including An Imaginary Meeting, featuring the sonatas of Bach and Handel, have received awards from Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, and Diapason, among others. She has recorded several pieces of unpublished music, including for her most recent CD Il Grosso Mogul, with works by Vivaldi, which received the "E" of Scherzo magazine, "R" of Ritmo, and the "Tip of Toccata" within a few weeks, as well as being recommended by BR and SWR.

As a pedagogue, Tur Bonet teaches at universities and music academies in Mainz, Augsburg, Saragossa, and Madrid, among others. She has been awarded a professorship in Baroque violin at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar. She completed a Magister Artium at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, and she continues to research rhetorical and symbolic aspects of music. Her ensemble Musica Alchemica interprets music of all epochs and is active in many multidisciplinary projects.
